fuut grebe
Like all members of this family Grebe is a water bird typical of ponds and lakes. His dark ear tufts give him a characteristic appearance. He has a white face with a red-brown and black collar around the state established in the courtship ritual. Its underside is white, from above it is dark becoming rusty brown. Between eye and beak is a black stripe. The legs do not have webbed feet. The boy is black and white striped and often they take a ride behind the backs of their parents. The parents greeted each other with an extended courtship ritual.
Because the legs rather far to the rear stand on the body, the Grebe can not as easily running over the land locomotion. Nests are therefore preferably built close to the waterfront. A very characteristic feature is the ability to impose relatively long distances under water swimming off. This is done to eat fish, or to flee from danger.
A loon is on average 46 to 51 cm long.
