  3. lol... I used to think I'd never see one of these, but once I found one and now recognize what they look like on the ground and where they grow I see them all over the place. Up until yesterday they were all nivula candida. The lake I was walking around yesterday was full of these ones, there must have been thousands scattered around, mostly growing on twigs. I walked right past them on the way out, but when I turned around to walk back, there they were. Posted 10 years ago

Nidula niveotomentosa is a fungi in the family Agaricaceae, and is a bird's nest fungi. Nidula niveotomentosa is easily recognized when young by its pubescent, white, cylindrical fruiting bodies and small brown peridioles embedded in mucilaginous gel.
