The SKY is Mine While on my Roadtrip to Dharmastala in the lap of Western ghats via charmadi ghat I was on the look out for any special birds, and this white eagle or kite or whatever caught me eye, I stopped my bike immediatley and followed it down the woods to get a good shot.   1. Beautiful photo! But this is not a Black-shouldered kite! It is an Australian species.

The Black-winged Kite is a small diurnal bird of prey in the family Accipitridae best known for its habit of hovering over open grasslands in the manner of the much-smaller kestrels.
