The White-bellied drongo This one has been on my wish list to see for a while... first time i see one, it perches right in front of me! The racket-tailed drongo i see frequently, but have always failed to take a decent shot of! :( Next time perhaps! :) Dicrurus caerulescens,Geotagged,India,John Rowell,Kabini,White-bellied drongo,Wildlife,Winter, adhocphotographer, redearth Click/tap to enlarge Species introCountry intro

The white-bellied drongo is a species of drongo found across the Indian Subcontinent. Like other members of the family Dicruridae, they are insectivorous and mainly black in colour, but with a white belly and vent. Young birds are, however, all black and may be confused with the black drongo, which is smaller and more compact in appearance. The subspecies found in Sri Lanka has white restricted to the vent.
