Black-eared Starling - Iridescent Plumage A Black-eared Starling, or Burchell&#039;s Glossy Starling, is much bigger in size than the normal Glossy Starling.  Also, it has a distinctive black eye and black ear patch whereas other Starlings in the area has yellow eyes.  <br />

Burchell's starling or Burchell's glossy-starling is a species of starling in the Sturnidae family. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The name of this bird commemorates the English naturalist William John Burchell.
