
Hypoxylon multiforme is a fungi in the Hypoxylon genus, mainly found on bark or decorticated wood of branches, trunks or stumps. The fruit body is a cushion like shape, rust-red then brown to black, some times single but it can fuse together to form larger groups up to 3cm or more across
