Scaly-feathered Finch - Busy Friends
A small group of Scaly-feathered Finch visit a watering hole. These guys are quick and very active, feeding on grass seeds etc. In my local language we call them "Preacher's Bird", I guess mostly because of the plumage that reflects dress code of religious men. Similar to the Secretary's bird's plumage used to describe a "Secretary".
The scaly-feathered weaver , also known as the scaly-feathered finch, is a species of bird in the Ploceidae family.
It is found in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
