Two male Indian Peafowls in Wasgamuwa, Sri Lanka
Every park we visited in Sri Lanka had an abundance of males in the mating season, and far less females in sight. It makes you feel sorry for the males, having to carry all that feather and making all that effort with no result.

The Indian peafowl or blue peafowl, a large and brightly coloured bird, is a species of peafowl native to South Asia, but introduced in many other parts of the world.
