  1. That's a very good point, they are absolutely gorgeous. That said, I have to ask, did you see any of the birds of paradise? Posted 10 years ago
    1. Yeah I did but because we were high up in the highlands it was either pouring down with rain or very heavy cloud cover so the conditions for photography were non existent and the birds weren't to happy with the weather either!
      Most of the photo's that you have seen were taken at night in the rain but it didn't effect the moths at all.

"Daphnis moorei" is a moth of the Sphingidae family. It is known from Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the northern half of Australia. The forewing upperside is similar to "Daphnis hypothous".
