
Paddyfield Pipit closeup in Wasgamuwa, Sri Lanka
Not really a closeup, more like a large crop. These nervous bird often lands close to your vehicle, yet are quite hard to actually see in the grass in the full sun as both the grass and this bird have a high contrast.

The paddyfield pipit is a small passerine bird in the pipit and wagtail family. It is a resident breeder in open scrub, grassland and cultivation in southern Asia east to the Philippines.
