      1. I recognised it as a Malkoha, but i had to revert to books and my more knowledgable friends to get the ID... We think it is in puberty, since it still has some of it's juvenile plumage. Posted 10 years ago

The green-billed malkoha is a species of non-parasitic cuckoo found throughout South and Southeast Asia. The birds are waxy bluish black with a long graduated tail with white tips to the tail feathers. The bill is prominent and curved. These birds are found in dry scrub and thin forests.
