Mangrove pitta I was walking along a dense track in the mangroves of Bhitakanika when this bird darted in front of me. At first I thought it was kingfisher, but then it landed among the mangrove roots. I had 3 seconds to fire of this obscured shot before it disappears beyond reach. It was only when i got back, I had time to ID it! :) Geotagged,India,John Rowell,Mangrove pitta,Odisha,Orissa,Pitta megarhyncha,Wildlife,Winter, adhocphotographer, bhitarkanika Click/tap to enlarge Species introCountry intro
