Anatolian mouflon
Anatolian mouflon (Ovis gmelini anatolica) is a critically endangered species, which is endemic to Anatolia. It's population is divided into two districts; Konya - Bozdag and Ankara - Nallihan. Anatolian mouflon went extinct from Nallihan region in 1964 and it was re-introduced in 2006 with individuals brought from Bozdag region. Now there is a breeding population of around 120 individuals in Nallihan region and the numbers are rising slowly. The rise is slow because there are wolves in the area and the lambs are easy prey.

The mouflon is a subspecies group of the wild sheep. Populations of ''O. orientalis'' can be partitioned into the mouflons and the urials. The mouflon is thought to be one of the two ancestors for all modern domestic sheep breeds.
