Apache I took this on a very hot afternoon at a place called the Black Duck Reserve a series of joined small lakes, at a small inlet there where dozens of Dragonfly&#039;s of at least 4 varieties! but trying to get a good shot of them when they are zig-zagging in front of you can be frustrating at the least, but with lots of patience and an old sigma 150-500 zoom using manual focus I sometimes get a half decent one.<br />

  1. Such a hard thing to do, well done! Any idea what it is? Posted 10 years ago
  2. It just takes loads of patience to capture a Dragon fly in flight, it takes me about 30 shots and a good bit of luck to get a half decent one! As you can see Wildflower very kindly identified it as an Australian Emperor. Posted 10 years ago
