A close shave... We were driving though the forrest on our safari and to cut a long story short, we got stuck, having to get out of the jeep to push it free.... having done so, we looked around laughing, and noticed a pack of dhole 10 meter away, just watching us! I grabbed my camera, fired off a few shots, and got this one... it is as close as i have ever been to one! :) Cuon alpinus,Dhole,Fall,Geotagged,India Click/tap to enlarge Promoted

The dhole, also called the Asiatic wild dog or Indian wild dog, is a species of canid native to South and Southeast Asia. It is the only extant member of the genus "Cuon", which differs from "Canis" by the reduced number of molars and greater number of teats.
