I took upon myself to verify as precilely as I could. The name I thought it might have is the Virescent Green Metallic Bee (Agapostemon virescens). After verification of internet I went back to the books and found the answer (I believe) with the "Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Insects & Spiders".
