
Mongoose Closeup
These animals, Mongoose, are quite shy. I think I've spotted quite a few before I could get a chance to take a good picture. This one was moving fast at Yala National Park, but was kind enough to stop for a very brief moment to let its picture being taken by me

The stripe-necked mongoose is a species of mongoose found in southern India to Sri Lanka. The stripe-necked mongoose is the largest of the Asiatic mongooses. The range distribution of the Stripe-necked Mongoose was restricted to the southern part of India and Sri Lanka.
