  1. Honestly... it is there somewhere... that little blue thing! :P Not the best shot, but I was very happy to see it considering i was only there for a couple of days! :) Posted 10 years ago
    1. You stole my species intro!

I was in Sri Lanka this year and am slowly sharing my set here, with this bird as one of the last pics. Now you beat me to it :)

That's a good thing by the way, I'm of course kidding.

      1. Hahaha, post your pic please, i'm sure it will be better... :)

I'm having fun playing a game i like to call "is it all ready in here"... i'm going through all the odd species i have shot, and can identify, and seeing if they are here... if not, i add them! :)

        1. Not yet, I have an obsession with sharing my photos in the order I took them. Plus, it's my winter stock :)

That sounds like a fun game. Make a "species intro" here is quite addictive, something chased by regular members all the time. Note though that you are invited to also share photos of which the species are already on here. We still want those!

The Sri Lanka blue magpie or Ceylon magpie is a member of the crow family living in the hill forests of Sri Lanka, where it is endemic.

This is a species of a dense wet evergreen temperate rain forest. It is declining due to loss of this habitat. Sri Lanka Blue Magpie is usually found in small groups of up to six or seven birds. It is largely carnivorous, eating small frogs, lizards, insects and other invertebrates, but will eat fruit.
