GIANT SQUIRREL OF WESTERN GHATS
The image shows a Giant Squirrel found in the Western Ghats of India.Lovely middle size mammal with a long hairy tail in two colors and brown fur on the body.Always lives on big trees, mostly seen singly.Very attractive and usually in movement hence finding steady for a shot is difficult.Usually early morning movements, cause another problem for taking photos.Feeds on fruits of the plant.Has a chukking sound which gives idea of their presence.Very afraid of any movement around and runs away from one tree to another hence one has to run behind for a shot.
