    1. Thanks. Yes, it is definitely needed in the Pantanal. There were a lot of photographers with even bigger lenzes there :)

      It was the first time I used the 500mm in the wild. Did make a few mistakes and learned the hard way that shooting sharp with 500mm is not easy. Should have raised the ISO more to get better shutter speeds.

      I'm now experimenting with auto ISO. I set the maximum shutter speed and based on that the camera automatically lowers or increases the ISO to give me a good enough shutter speed to shoot from hand. I can lead to higher ISO, but the D7000 is great at high ISO and I prefer a high ISO sharp image over a low ISO unsharp image.
