  3. Lovely bird - is he in an aviary/zoo? That's not a bad thing, I'm just curious as another account posted the same bird (with different prey) on the same stick at the same shooting angle and that just seems unlikely in the wild, unless perhaps you both went on the same birding expedition. The Oriental dwarf kingfisher, also known as the black-backed kingfisher or three-toed kingfisher, is a species of bird in the family Alcedinidae. A widespread resident of lowland forest, it is endemic across much of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
