  1. Welcome to JungleDragon, Yasena! This is an impressive photo to start with. You have discribed it well. The only things that are missing are the species ID and the geotag. The more information you enter the more ways there will be for people to find your photo. Do you know which species of flamingo these birds are, apparently both lesser and greater flamingos breed in this lake? Posted 10 years ago
    1. Hi, WoldFLower. As I'm new in the site I couldn't edit everything but now I will. Thanks for the comment! Posted 10 years ago

  2. Over half the world's flamingos (65-75%) are born in Lake Natron. This shallow salt lake provides the optimal habitat for flamingos and their chicks as the caustic environment keeps mammal predators at bay. Lake Natron is one of only five breeding sites for the Lesser flamingo.
Zooming in on the photo the bill appear to be dark which would make these Lesser flamingos, Greater flamingos have a pale bill. Of course I could be wrong but as the information pertaining to Lesser flamingos is very interesting I feel this should be listed for them.

The Lesser Flamingo is a species of flamingo occurring in sub-Saharan Africa with another population in India. Birds are occasionally reported from further north, but these are generally considered vagrants.
