Dusky Pygmy Rattlesnake

This little rattlesnake was pretending to be a backpack strap. I was thinking of picking it up to take back to the trashcan just about the time I got close enough to see it was actually a rattlesnake.

  1. Wow, where did you find this one? Looks like it naturally belongs there. Posted 10 years ago
  2. By the way, the capture date of this photo is one day into the future. I checked the original file and it is wrong there as well, so it's not a JungleDragon bug. Possibly the date on your camera is wrong? Posted 10 years ago
  3. It definitely belongs there. This one was more obvious than they usually are, probably because it was sunning. Last one I saw I (by coincidence) stopped about six inches short of stepping on it, then looked down and saw it. That one was coiled up in the shade. All of the ones I've seen I have found in the middle of a trail.

(I definitely took it today and not tomorrow :P; just fixed the date on my camera, thanks :) .)
