Dysdercus cingulatus was reported to feed on several species belonging to the plant family Malvaceae as well as a few species of Bombacaceae. It is the most serious pest of cotton in South and Southeast Asia.

This is a true bug nymph - some kind of cotton stainer bug - Dysdercus sp. The wings are not broken, this is as much as they develop in the nymph stage.
