  1. Hi Tracy, I noticed that you requested a manual species creation for this little cutie. Please note that White's tree frog is a common name for this frog, one of several common names. The most commonly used name for this frog is the Australian green tree frog, which has a Wiki page. Since JungleDragon's species system links directly with Wiki for species identifications, a search for Australian green tree frog, or even better, the latin name, would result in a Wiki page and an identifaction.

However, I do no believe this to be White's tree frog. Perhaps another species identification would be a better fit, although I am not finding one at the moment.

Ultimately, the best way to search for a species is by scientific name, as it is universal, unlike common names. The "request manual species creation" button should only be used as a last resort if you are certain there is no Wiki page for a species. Hopefully this info will help with future identifications! :)

Great coloring, too! I love green.

    1. Hey there, Travis and thank you for the time and info.. I would be surprised however if this is not a White's Tree Frog as that is what it's name board stated at Reptile World in Drumheller, where I took the photo. Not sure what to do with that :-) Posted 10 years ago
      1. Well in that case I'll take your word for it! It just looked a little different to me than some of the other photos I had been seeing :) Posted 10 years ago

The Australian green tree frog, simply green tree frog in Australia, White's tree frog, or dumpy tree frog, is a species of tree frog native to Australia and New Guinea, with introduced populations in the United States and New Zealand, though the latter is believed to have died out.
