Marico Sunbird - Nature's Pairs
A Marico Sunbird male and female. I only include this photograph (not a real work of art) as a species identification, showing both the male and female together in one shot. Clearly the male is much more vibrant and colorful, but that is how things work in the avian world.
The Marico sunbird or Mariqua sunbird is a species of bird in the Nectariniidae family.
It is found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
