    1. This one looks better. Something must have happened during the upload. You should delete the first one. Unfortunately you will lose a few votes.
      Could you please also identify the species and geotag the location. We don't come across photos from Antarctica very often.

  2. Thank you for uploading this better version, not sure what went wrong before. As photos taken in Antartica are very rare on the site, I agree with Wildflower that it would be awesome to geotag this photo. You can do this in JungleDragon, here's the link:

The long-tailed Gentoo penguin is a penguin species in the genus ''Pygoscelis'', most closely associated with the Adélie penguin and the Chinstrap penguin . The first scientific description was made in 1781 by Johann Reinhold Forster on the basis of Falkland Islands. They call in a variety of ways, but the most frequently heard is a loud trumpeting which is emitted with its head thrown back.
