Brother and Sister Twin white-tailed fawns watch their mother (not pictured) inspect some strange movements and noises coming from inside the blind where I was hiding. The young fawns are learning when to flee potentially dangerous situations, and by watching their mother, they learn what to look and listen for and how to look and listen for it. These two fawns fled only a few seconds after I took this photo, along with the doe.<br />

My grandfather and I were sitting in one of his deer hunting blinds when I captured this photo. But on this particular morning, we weren&#039;t looking to shoot the deer with guns, but with cameras. The white-tailed deer, also known commonly as the whitetail and the Virginia deer, is a medium-sized species of deer native to North America, Central America, and South America as far south as Peru and Bolivia, where it predominately inhabits high mountain terrains of the Andes.
