  1. What beautiful contrast they make with the snow. How close are you able to get to them? Posted 8 years ago
    1. They are so beautiful! Honestly, this is the first fox I have seen in over a year. When I stopped my vehicle (I spotted him while driving) he initially ran off to a distance of about 200 meters or so. After a few minutes, he worked his way back to about 100 meters. This photo is cropped significantly also. They are usually fairly timid animals, but can be quite curious at times. Posted 8 years ago
  2. Great shot... love it! :)

If i can make a suggest, go back and re-crop it, putting the fox in the bottom left corner, portrait and landscape orientation. It might give it a different feel! :)

    1. You know you might be on to something there, John. I will give it a try later and see what I think! I won't re-post it because obviously it's still the same photo, but you have definitely got me interested now :) Posted 7 years ago

The red fox is the largest of the true foxes, as well as being the most geographically spread member of the Carnivora, being distributed across the entire northern hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, Central America and the steppes of Asia.
