Female Mallard
These female ducks can be found in large groups with about three male ducks around ponds in a Baltimore neighborhood. They are often found nesting in the reeds and are generally more hesitant about humans than the male ducks. This duck was pretty friendly though.

The mallard or wild duck is a dabbling duck that breeds throughout the temperate and subtropical Americas, Eurasia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Falkland Islands, and South Africa.
