While this photo seems to capture the stereotypical ferocious, "man-eating" behavior of a great white, the simple reality is that this individual simply missed the bait and hit the cage. This is the case in almost all cage diving instances which unfortunately tends to give sharks a bad reputation. If cage diving is going to continue to be a recreational activity, it is crucial that people are properly educated on the true behaviors of sharks prior to diving.
