Tawny Eagle - Stare of Intense Power

An adult Tawny Eagle stares into the lens with supreme self confidence and power. This guy accidentally landed right in front of me (approx. 10 feet away). I had half a second to photograph him before he flew off again.

The Tawny Eagle

The Tawny Eagle is a large bird of prey. Like all eagles, it belongs to the family Accipitridae. It was once considered to be closely related to the migratory Steppe Eagle, "Aquila nipalensis", and the two forms have previously been treated as conspecific.
