    1. Lots of patience and lots of luck :) That day, I decided to follow this lion pride only; nothing else. They slept most of the time but I was lucky enough when a group of wildebeest passed nearby and this individual was having a hard time keeping up with the herd. Injured or wounded, I don't know but this was the end... Posted 10 years ago

The lion is one of the five big cats in the genus "Panthera" and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies found in Africa. With some males exceeding 250 kg in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger.
