I think I found a better match - Epicauta velata.

    1. Totaly agree with you, I was trying to get close to it, but this Epicauta Velata is the same...in small...but I tried to edit the identification because it is really closer than the fly with what I had some hard time to find and I couldn't get further too..

      1. There is no wiki page in English for this species so I created a record for it manually. Posted 10 years ago
        1. I m sure it is more the large grey blister beetle than the small. This one is not small at all! Posted 10 years ago
          1. There are two discrepancies - Epicauta longicollis is found in Arizona, USA and the antennae are all black.

        2. Agree with the color and just the location of course...but these eyes are smallers...and same for the beetle it seems.
          Really hard this one.

          1. It's hard to tell, it's not the same point of view and they can change their look when mounted and there are no other referencies for this species. Posted 10 years ago
        3. I keep in mind this one is really bigger than the other blister beetles I saw with it. We will know on day! Thanks for your help WildFlower!! Posted 10 years ago
