Totaly agree with you, I was trying to get close to it, but this Epicauta Velata is the same...in small...but I tried to edit the identification because it is really closer than the fly with what I had some hard time to find and I couldn't get further too..
Agree with the color and just the location of course...but these eyes are smallers...and same for the beetle it seems.
Really hard this one.

It's hard to tell, it's not the same point of view and they can change their look when mounted and there are no other referencies for this species.

I keep in mind this one is really bigger than the other blister beetles I saw with it. We will know on day! Thanks for your help WildFlower!!
