Crimson marsh glider, Kaudulla, Sri Lanka As few places in Sri Lanka are suitable for hiking, you have to pick your moments when wanting to do macro photography. This dragonfly was found in the surrounding garden of our lodge in Kaudulla. I always struggle with dragonfly identification. I used this great resource which lists all of Sri Lanka&#039;s dragonflies:<br />

I identified it based on the blue eyes and black stripe across its abdomen. Again, I could be entirely wrong, and am open to corrections. Asia,Crimson Marsh Glider,Kaudulla,Sri Lanka,Trithemis aurora Click/tap to enlarge

  1. It doesn't seem to have the same stripes.
