Chestnut-headed Bee-eater - 2, Wilpaththu, Sri Lanka
In my opinion the most beautiful bee-eater in Sri Lanka, perhaps also because it is uncommon. Our experience confirms this, we saw these only once, whilst we had hundreds of spottings of other species of bee-eaters.

The chestnut-headed bee-eater, or bay-headed bee-eater, is a near passerine bird in the bee-eater family Meropidae. It is a resident breeder in the Indian subcontinent and adjoining regions, ranging from India east to Southeast Asia.
