Yellow Orange Tip cluster on Wilpaththu path, Sri Lanka
One of Sri Lanka's unexpected delights are the enormous quantities and diversity of butterflies. At Wilpaththu, we literally were driving in clouds of butterflies and dragonflies, something we never experienced in any other country we visited. For some reason, it were always these yellow species found on the ground.
Yellow Orange Tip, ''Ixias pyrene'' is a small butterfly of the Family Pieridae, that is, the Yellows and Whites, which is found in India.
