Crested Hawk-Eagle (juvenile), Wilpaththu, Sri Lanka
This one was trickier to identify than I expected. This is the juvenile appearance of a crested hawk-eagle, an appearance much different from adults. They are hard to spot, but trained trackers regularly point them out to guests. They are often found in a calm state in trees, just observing.

The changeable hawk-eagle or crested hawk-eagle is a bird of prey species of the family Accipitridae. It was formerly placed in the genus "Spizaetus", but studies pointed to the group being paraphyletic resulting in the Old World members being placed in "Nisaetus" and separated from the New World species.
