
Green sandpiper (presumed), Wilpaththu, Sri Lanka
There's a lot of similar looking sandpipers in Sri Lanka, and to make matters worse, their plumage can be different based on gender, age, and breeding season. Therefore, I'm not 100% sure on this identification. Reference photo:

The green sandpiper is a small wader of the Old World. It represents an ancient lineage of the genus "Tringa"; its only close living relative is the solitary sandpiper. They both have brown wings with little light dots and a delicate but contrasting neck and chest pattern. In addition, both species nest in trees, unlike most other scolopacids.
