  1. I could not find the species here, but I believe it is a Ptronymia. Can someone help? Shot at York Wild Animal Kingdom in the Butterfly Sanctuary. Posted 10 years ago
    1. Pteronymia species are clearwing butterflies and although some of them look similar, these 2 don't look much like clearwings to me... it is confusing though. I think they are more likely Heliconius hecale, the tips of the antennae look whitish, but the spots are not very clear to compare them.

The Tiger Longwing or Golden Helicon is a Heliconiid butterfly that occurs from Mexico to the Peruvian Amazon.
