The Medicago arabica

''Medicago arabica'' is a flowering plant of the family Fabaceae. It is native to the Mediterranean basin but is found throughout the world. It forms a symbiotic relationship with the bacterium ''Sinorhizobium medicae'', which is capable of nitrogen fixation.
