Sri Lankan junglefowl, Wilpaththu park, Sri Lanka
At first one may think, what is this chicken doing in the jungle, but its actually quite a beautiful bird. It is Sri Lanka's national bird and considered important. They are often seen but hard to get a clear shot from.

The Sri Lankan Junglefowl , also known during the colonial era as the Ceylon Junglefowl, is a member of the Galliformes bird order which is endemic to Sri Lanka, where it is the national bird.
