A mature and healthy white-tailed buck stops to sniff the air and scan the open field ahead of him for a hot doe he is following. Captured in the Kootenai River Wildlife Refuge, north Idaho.

  Thanks! It was a cloudy morning threatening to snow some more so that brought the dark atmosphere. It was actually rather difficult to photograph in without my tripod. Posted 10 years ago
