Your Breath is a Giveaway
This mature white-tailed buck almost went unnoticed, until his foggy breath glimmered in the sunlight and caught my attention. He searched his surroundings for a few minutes, before deciding he was content from the area he came from and receded from view. Captured in the Kootenai River Wildlife Refuge in north Idaho.

The white-tailed deer, also known commonly as the whitetail and the Virginia deer, is a medium-sized species of deer native to North America, Central America, and South America as far south as Peru and Bolivia, where it predominately inhabits high mountain terrains of the Andes.
