Karoo Girdled Lizard I am not 100% sure whether this is the correct name for this animal. I am not 100% sure whether this is the correct name for this animal. It looks like a miniature crocodile and it has a pointed snout which makes me think this is the incorrect name

    1. The black girdled lizard is endemic to the extreme southwestern coastal region of the Western Cape, South Africa. Localised subpopulations are known to occur in Saldanha, Langebaan Peninsula, Jutten Island and the Cape Peninsula. Looking at the geotag, it could not be the black girdled lizard. It seems to be somewhere in the Karoo region. If this is the case it is most likely the Karoo girdled lizard. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago
