Here it is mid-November in New Hampshire and I spotted this splash of color in all the surrounding stark woods. Taken in New Hampshire (USA) and not sure what these are. Can you help?

  1. It is most likely a Japanese barberry - Berberis thunbergii. It is an invasive species.

"Berberis thunbergii" is a species of "Berberis", native to Japan and eastern Asia, though widely naturalized in China and in North America.
