Icicle fungus These were hiding well - I only spotted them on the way back and this one log was the only time I saw these. I did not find a great deal of information on them either.  They are quite tiny - each little icicle is probably only a few millimeters.<br />

Mucronella fusiformes is a fungi belonging to the Clavariaceae family. It is found in damp, dark areas throughout western North America, known as the Pacific northwest.
