  1. This squirrel actually lived on and around the campus of the University of North Texas. It was quite a famous animal. The Albino Squirrel Preservation Society is an organization erected by students in honor of the squirrel. It boasts more than 400 members, according to its Web site. Some students believed that if they saw the squirrel on their way to an exam, they would do better on the test.

    It was reported that a hawk attached and killed the squirrel in the summer of 2006.

"Sciurus carolinensis", common name eastern gray squirrel or grey squirrel depending on region, is a tree squirrel in the genus "Sciurus". It is native to eastern North America, but has since been introduced to European regions.
