I'm learning the hard way that when you photograph fungi and want to increase the odds of every identifying it, it is important to collect specific characteristics, a key one being identifying on what the fungi is growing. It can exclude many species.

Enoki, also known as velvet shank, is a species of edible mushroom in the family Physalacriaceae. It is well-known for its role in Japanese cuisine, where it is also known as enokitake.
