  1. You really have been busy with the mushroom, what a variety, well done! Posted 10 years ago
    1. Those were all on one hike, yesterday. It was crazy - everywhere I looked there must have been thousands of mushrooms in hundreds of varieties.. I'm sure I didn't even document all of them. The trail was signed for absolutely no mushroom picking (some public forests here allow even commercial harvesting with a permit) - so I think maybe this trail may have had more than usual. "Ramaria formosa", commonly known as the beautiful clavaria, handsome clavaria, yellow-tipped- or pink coral fungus, is a coral fungus found in Europe and North America. It is a pinkish, much-branched coral-shape reaching some 20 cm high. Some forms collected in North America often lack the bitter taste common to European specimens and may represent a different species.
